SimpliPhi, Phi 3.5, Battery, 3.5kWh, LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate), 48 volt, with 80A disco and BMS, UL-1642, 3.5-48-60 The Simpliphi 3.5-48-60 by OutBack is their 3.5 kWh, 60 Ah, 48 volt lithium iron phosphate battery. Lithium iron phosphate chemistry is safe with no cobalt, risk of thermal runaway or fire. Used where high cycle life and partial state of charge operation is needed, either off grid or grid tied with storage. Each unit has a built in BMS to keep the battery within safe parameters and help balance the cells internally.  Drop in replacement for lead batteries and compatible with industry standard 48 volt inverters and PV charge controls. Each battery has an on/off 80A circuit breaker built in. The BMS does not have battery to battery, or external communication. They can be used with multiple units in parallel but not in series, use the unit with the correct voltage for the system. Maximum continuous charge and discharge current is 30A.  Maximum discharge temperature range is -4° to 140°F (-20°C to 60°C). Maximum charging temperature range is 32°F to 120°F (0° to 49°C).  Do not charge if the battery is under 32°F (0°C). Each battery is 13.5 W x 8" D x 15.5" H including terminals. 10 year warranty.
