The Steca Solsum Controller is an economical pulse-width modulated shunt controller designed for small and mid-sized systems. The overcharge protection operates as a pulse-width-modulated (PWM) shunt controller and guarantees faster charging of the battery. A tricolor LED indicates three ranges of battery voltage and a green LED indicates array current. These controllers include temperature compensated charging, MOSFET transistors and fuse protection. Other features include, automatic adjustment for 12 or 24 Vdc systems, protection against extreme temperature, battery voltage, module overcurrent and load current. Temperature compensated overcharge and over-discharge protection is also built in.
