Low-profile orientation minimizes
the vertical height of your array to hide an array behide a parapet or minimize
wind loading. You can also optimize tilt angle on a pitched roof to
maximize system performance. In low profile arrays, tilt angle depends
on leg length and the location of the module mounting holes. Each
low-profile tilt leg kit contains one square tube and one strut.
Quanity of tilt legs required in a low-profile array depends on the length
of the mounting rails:
48 to 106 in. rail length requires 2 legs,
120 to 180 in. rail length requires 3 legs
192 to 216 in. rail length requires 4 legs,
226 to 288 in. rail length requires 5 legs
300 to 336 in. rail length requires 6 legs,
348 to 408 in. rail length requires 7 legs
420 to 432
in. rail length requires 8 legs
